Learn about the orginality checking
for written assignments with links to the guides below
Victoria University now uses Ouriginal (Originality Check) (https://www.ouriginal.com/) for the checking of originality and plagiarism in student’s assessment submissions to Dropbox.
A test Dropbox is available in the Student Induction space. You can access your originality report via the navbar Assessments > Dropbox – Originality Check (after submitting your document to dropbox).
Some things that Urkund (Ouriginal) can do:
There is a link to a detailed guide below about what you can expect to see and how you can use it. There is also a handbook explaining academic integrity and plagiarism right here - Ouriginal_Plagiarism-Handbook_for_students.pdf
You can upload a document to the Student Induction space to obtain an originality check score indication before submitting to the unit dropbox in the unit you are taking. When submitting an assignment in that dropbox, by default your document will be deleted and not indexed. However, when viewing the Originality Report, there is an option to “Opt-out”. It is very important that you do not select this option, or the following option “Do not delete my document". This will make your submission matchable against itself when submitting to another dropbox. A 100% match back to your first submission could occur.
